Swiss Temple Trip

Swiss Temple and Some Sites on the Way Home

This was our first trip to the Swiss temple. We thought it would take about 4-5 hours to get there from Frankfurt, but it took 6 hours because of traffic along the way. It was all worth it though. We loved the temple, the people, and the mountains, lakes, and vistas.

We were able to attend the Swiss Temple in Bern, Switzerland this past week.  It was so wonderful to be in the temple again and to be strengthened.  We stayed in temple housing, met wonderful people and enjoyed the peace of the temple.

"At the temple the dust of distraction seems to settle out, the fog and the haze seem to lift, and we can 'see' things that we were not able to see before and find a way through our troubles that we had not previously known."  The Holy Temple by Boyd K. Packer

On the Way Home

We went by mountains, Alpine lakes, and beautiful villages in the valleys of the Alps.

These mountains rise 3,000 feet higher from the valley floor than the mountains along the Wasatch front. They all had snow and glaciers on them.

The cows each had a bell hung around their neck and we could hear the bells ringing when we stopped in a quiet village.

Pretty spectacular mountain views from the parking lot.

A pretty village on an Alpine lake that was glacier blue.
