It's always hard to be on a mission far away from family, but when you receive a letter, that is the best gift a missionary can receive! Wow! today we were over-joyed. We got four letters and drawings too. We got a special delivery rushed to us from the receptionist four floors below us and all the missionaries in the office were envious of us as we opened the envelopes and found four letters and a drawing. We read them over and over and then posted them on our computers, and we still look at them everyday. A big special thanks to Matt and Ellen, James, Scott, Todd and Ben for taking the time to write and lift our hearts and strengthen us on our mission. And a BIG thanks to Pauline Sherman who sent a card the first week we were here and hasn't stopped writing since then.

From our experience letters from home are the best thing that missionaries - young or mature - can receive. Skype/Facetime are both great as is text and phone calls but there is just something special about getting a physical letter from someone you love. We are sure that those letters and drawings will end up on your walls and refrigerator. Glad you are both well and thanks for sharing some of your experiences.
